HUSSARS OFFICER'S SWORD-RESERVED A rare 10th Hussars sword with 34 1/4 inches blade, with excellent clear engraving of Prince Of Wales's Own 10th Hussars, Prince Of Wales feathers, Crowned VR, battle honours - Peninsula, Waterloo, and Sevastopol on both sides, foliage and retailer - H.Poole& Co., Saville Row, London. 1788 PATTERN LIGHT CAVALRY TROOPER'S SWORD A rare 1788 trooper's sword, 33 inch blade with a broad fuller and narrow fuller next to back edge. Sword and scabbard are evenly pitted overall, which is to be expected for it's age. Leather grip with minor damage but otherwise in good solid condition. Sword fits easily into scabbard despite a few dents to scabbard.
1796 CAVALRY OFFICER'S SWORD - EXCEPTIONAL BLADE -SOLD This sword has one of the finest blades I have come across from the Georgian period. The blade is 33 inches long, and is finely engraved for half of its length on both sides, with foliage and stands of arms, and retains a lot of its original polish. The hilt has a fluted back strap and is lightly pitted, and has a copper wire bound fishskin grip. The top of the scabbard has a floral design with an oval for the maker's name, but unfortunately this is no legible.
1796 GRENADIER COMPANY OFFICER'S SWORD- SOLD A superb Georgian grenadier company officer's sword with 29 3/4 inch blade. Copper hilt with ivory grip bound with copper wire. Blade engraved nearly to the tip on both sides. Engraves with maker/retailer - Underhill & Cooper, also Warranted, Flaming Grenade, Classical Figure, Stand of Arms, Britannia with Lion, Crowned GR, Angel, Wreath, Royal Arms, Fur Cap, Foliage and Urn. Copper mounted leather scabbard in good condition. PLEASE NOTE - THIS SWORD CANNOT BE SOLD TO THE USA.
1796 HEAVY CAVALRY TROOPER'S SWORD Good condition, blade of 34 inches, ground to a spear point as ordered by Wellington before Waterloo. It has light staining and pitting, and is marked with Crowned Broad Arrow, armourer's mark, and on back edge a small cross and two Bs for the balance points. Hilt has been cut down, but lancets present, and is marked with number 43. Leather bound grip comp;ete. No scabbard. More pictures on my ad on gunster.co.uk
1796 HEAVY CAVALRY TROOPER'S SWORD Waterloo period trooper's sword with 35 inch blade, original hatchet point, lightly stained overall, but smooth to touch. Engraved with Crowned 4 ordnance mark and remains of maker on back edge. Full disc hilt (langets removed) marked E 46 on back of guard. Leather grip slightly worn. Steel scabbard pitted, and has remains of maker which is now illegible.

1796 LIGHT CAVALRY TROOPER'S SWORD - FRANCIS DEAKIN - SOLD Georgian light cavalry sword with 32 1/2 inch blade, marked with remains of Crowned ordnance mark and back edge with maker - Francis Deakin, and "B" balance point. Blade lightly pitted, as is iron hilt. Leather bound grip complete. Steel scabbard pitted overall, but a good sword for its age, and shows signs of use having some nicks to the edge of the blade. Ornate iron hilt with wire bound fishskin grip . Scabbard evenly pitted overall. Hilt has a small crack (see Pictures) but is otherwise in good solid condition.

1885 CAVALRY TROOPER'S SWORD-11 HUSSARS-SOLD Blade of 34 1/2 inches marked with various dates and ordnance marks. Hilt marked with 11.H.(11th Hussars) , O.X.Y.229 ( Oxford Yeomanry Cavalry), and other marks. Leather grip in good condition. Scabbard marked Y.O.X.229 and Mole Patent on throat and ring. Engraved with Crowned VR and foliage on both sides and retailer - Goodall & Graham, Conduit St. London. Iron hilt lightly pitted and with Crowned VR. Wire bound fishskin grip complete. Iron scabbard also evenly but lightly pitted.
18TH/19TH CENTURY HANGER Early hanger with double fullered blade of 25 inches. Ornate gilded brass hilt with copper grip in good condition. No scabbard.

2nd LIFE GUARDS OFFICER'S SWORD - 1832 PATTERN A very rare Household Cavalry officer's sword with un-fullered blade of 34 1/4 inches, engraved with LG 2, Crowned Flaming Grenade, and Foliage on both sides, and Andrews, 9, Pall Mall, London. Also on back edge - Proved. This sword is similar to the one in Robson - Swords Of The British Army, page 136, plate 124. The pommel and ferrule are brass, and the hilt is steel, and engraved with Flaming Grenades, and Lightning Bolts. Fishskin grip is complete, but wire binding is missing. No scabbard.
60TH KINGS OWN ROYAL RIFLES CORPS OFFICER'S SWORD A rare officer's sword with 32 1/2 inch blade engraved with Crowned LX (60th.), Crowned - The Kings Own Royal Rifle Corps, Strung Bugle on both sides, foliage and retailer - Alfred Pillin, Manufacturer, 31 Gerrard St., London. AMERICAN 1860 NAVY CUTLASS Blade of 25 3/4 inches marked with maker - Ames, Chickopee, Mass., and also N.J., and dated 1862. Blade is stained and has a bit of pitting at the tip. Brass hilt marked 12 M, 992. Leather grip complete. Leather scabbard with copper rivets and in good solid condition for its age.
ARMY SERVICE CORPS OFFICER'S SWORD-GRV A rare George V Royal Army Service Corps sword with 34 inch blade engraved with Crowned ASC, Crowned GR V, foliage and proof mark. Back edge marked London Made. Three bar hilt and wire bound fishskin grip complete. Iron scabbard with dent, and is lined with an unusual leather liner which grabs the blade a bit when inserted, but it goes in fine.
AUSTRIAN 1845 CAVALRY TROOPER'S SWORD Fullered blade of 32 inches, unfortunately, with no markings remaining. Steel bowl hilt with 7 holes, and brazed quillon. Leather grip complete, but with slight damage. Steel scabbard pitted overall and marked with numbers on shoe - see picture. scabbard also has a small crack below the upper band - see picture.
AUSTRIAN 19TH CENT. OFFICER'S SWORD Blade of 32 inches marked with maker (indistinct) and Solingen. Brass hilt with fluted back strap in good condition, and with wire bound fishskin grip. Blade has faint Crowned markings on both sides. Iron scabbard lightly pitted overall.
BLUE & GILT 1796 LIGHT CAVALRY OFFICER'S SWORD A superb blue and gilt sword with a much more elaborate hilt than usual. It has ornate faceting on the back strap, guard, ferrule, langets, and also has a facetted ball on the quillon. It still has very good blue colour, and much gilding remaining. The blade is 32 1/2 inches long, and engraved with Crowned GR, Cavalryman, Crowned Royal Arms, Stand of Arms and foliage. Under one lancet is the maker - Woolley, and under the other - Warranted. The rest of the blade is in very good clean condition, and the scabbard is evenly pitted. An excellent sword overall. More pictures can be seen on gunstar.co.uk.
BLUE AND GILT 1976 INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD A superb blue and gilt Georgian sword with 32 1/4 inch blade made by J.J. Runkel, Solingen. Engraved with Royal Arms, Crowned GR and foliage. Blade tip with some mild pitting. Gilded hilt retains about 95% of its gilding. Silver wire complete. Brass mounted leather scabbard in good solid condition, and has one stud and one ring has been removed. It has maker details - Golding Late Neild, St. James's St., Sword Cutlers To His Royal Highness Prince Of Wales.
CONTINENTAL INFANTRY HANGER Blade of 23 inches marked with small letter, brass hilt also with small letter and number 533, and crowned P L. Scabbard leather good and solid, and blade fits in easily.
ER II RIFLES OFFICER'S SWORD-WILKINSON Excellent condition ER II sword with dark frost engraved blade. Engraved with Crowned Strung Bugle, Crowned ER II and Royal Arms, foliage and Wilkinson logo, also By Appointment To His Late Majesty George VI. Back edge numbered 71170 for 1953, when Queen Elizabeth took the throne. Plated hilt with some wear and with Crowned Strung Bugle. Wire bound fishskin grip in good condition. Leather scabbard and frog also in good condition.
ER II ROYAL NAVY OFFICER'S SWORD-WILKINSON Very good condition current issue Wilkinson sword. Blade dark frost engraved with Crowned ER II, Crowned Anchor, Wilkinson logo, entwined rope and oak leaves, and back edge numbered 118424 (after 1974). Blade has small amounts of pitting, mostly along edges. Gilded hilt in excellent condition, and wire bound fishskin grip good and clean. ER II ROYAL NAVY OFFICER'S SWORD-WILKINSON Excellent condition ER II sword with dark frost engraved blade, with Crowned Anchor, Crowned ER II, Wilkinson logo and entwined oak and rope work.Gilded hilt retains all of its gilding, and wire bound fishskin grip nice and clean. Leather scabbard with gilded mounts also in excellent condition. This sword has been refurbished and the number is absent from the back edge, and the pommel button has been removed, but the hilt is in good solid condition.
FRENCH 1816 CUIRASSIER'S SWORD-RESERVED A good cuirassier's sword with 38 1/2 inch blade, marked faintly with manufacturers details for 1822. Brass hilt numbered 254. Leather grip lacking brass wire. Iron scabbard pitted overall.
FRENCH 1833 NAVY CUTLASS Blade of 26 1/2 inches mildly stained and engraved with Anchors on both sides and maker details and dated 1839. Steel hilt with ordnance marks and numbered 38. Brass mounted leather scabbard in good solid condition, and marked with a small anchor.
FRENCH 1882 INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD-TRIPLE FULLERED BLADE A good officer's sword with 33 1/2 inch triple fullered blade, with Manuf. de Chatellerault and other details on the other side which are worn. Brass hilt with foliage designs, horn grip (small losses) and wire binding with about one inch absent. No scabbard.
FRENCH GRAS BAYONET-MATCHING NUMBERS Good condition, with matching numbers and other markings. Blade dated 1879.

GEORGIAN CAVALRY OFFICER'S SWORD-1788 BLADE BY EGG An unusual Georgian 1796 Cavalry Officer's sword which has a 1788 blade of 32 1/2 inches. The blade has a broad fuller which goes nearly to the tip, and is engraved on both sides with a Dragon, Turks Head, Moon Face, Sword Arm appearing from a cloud, and other devices. ROYAL ENGINEERS SWORD-1ST CITY OF LONDON ENGINEERS Victorian Royal Engineers sword engraved for 1st.City of London Engineers. Blade of 32 1/2 inches also engraved with Flaming Grenades, foliage, Winged Lightning, and reverse with Crowned VR, Canon and Ubique. Maker- Tucker and Seagrove, Cannon St. London. Blade has slight staining but very good. Brass hilt in good condition, and fish skin grip has a slight split as shown. Steel scabbard lightly pitted.
ROYAL MARINES OFFICER'S SWORD-ER II Bade of 32 1/2 inches engraved with Crowned Globe, and The Royal Marines, Crowned Royal Arms and ER II, foliage and retailer - R.Groves, 53, Wellington St., Woolwich. Plated hilt with Crowned ER II, and wire bound fishskin grip. Blade has some pitting alone edges but in good overall condition. Plated scabbard with a little pitting, but also in good condition. SPECIAL AIR SERVICE KEYRING Hand made from natural vegetable tanned cow hide, and hand embossed with the badge of the SAS, each keyring is fitted with a high quality ring made of nickel plated tempered steel. Because they are hand made, each one is slightly different. Colours can vary, and the leather can sometimes have slight natural blemishes. Full length approximately 92mm. Price is for one keyring.

VICTORIAN COURTSWORD-RESERVED Ornate blade of 31 inches, engraved with Crowned VR, Crossed Flags, and foliage for 3/4 of its length. Blade is stained overall but smooth to touch. Also Anderson, St. James's St. London. Gilt brass hilt has about half of its gilding present. Brass mounted leather scabbard in solid condition, also with traces of gilding present. WILLIAM IV 1821 LIGHT CAVALRY OFFICER'S SWORD An excellent early officer's sword with 35 inch pipe backed blade engraved on both sides with Crowned WR IV for William IV. Also, maker - W. Moore, late Bicknell & Moore, Old Bond St., London. Hilt evenly pitted and with wire bound fishskin grip ( some wire missing). Scabbard with dents but blade fits in easily. Some pitting to blade at the tip, but overall very good.
