L.D., strung Bugle, Royal arms, Stands of Arms, Crowned GR, Victory and Swags. Also, beneath a lancet - Woolley & Co.. Iron hilt with sire bound leather grip, some losses to leather, but gip is solid. Iron scabbard marked - Woolley & Co, Birmingham, and one split ring is partially broken. 5TH DRAGOON GUARDS TROOPER'S HELMET-SOLDA good 1871 pattern brass trooper's helmet with red and white plume, leather backed chin strap and leather liner. There are some minor dents which are to be expected and it has various stamped marks on the rim. 14TH LIGHT DRAGOON 1796 TROOPER'S SWORDA good clean blade of 32 1/2 inches marked with Crowned ordnance mark and balance points on back edge. Iron hilt with leather bound grip, and marked 14 LD C 50. Iron scabbards also marked 14 LD C 50, and also 50 on other side. This regiment took part in several battles in the Peninsula, and other similarly marked swords exist - see pictures.
